Ottawa Convention Centre (OCC), Canada’s newest and most sophisticated meeting venue, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Keogh as Senior Vice President, Sales and Client Service, effective immediately.
Paul will move into this new role from his current position of Senior Vice-President, Redevelopment and Client Services. In addition to his current duties, Paul will develop and maximize all ancillary revenue areas, lead the direct sales effort and set sales strategies.
Paul has been with OCC since 1999, holding varied department head and executive leadership positions. Prior to joining OCC, as Director of Operations for a major Show Producer, Paul was responsible for the management and production of Canada’s largest and most successful business and high technology conventions, tradeshows and events. Paul is a graduate and an invited faculty member of the International Association of Assembly Manager’s Academy of Venue Safety and Security and is past-president of the Ottawa Association of Exposition Management with over 20 years of experience in facility management, event security, convention operations and production. Paul is an alumnus of the University of Ottawa, and was formerly a Commissioned Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.
“Paul is an outstanding leader and is highly respected within the Meetings and Convention sector.” said OCC president, Pat Kelly. “Among these and other benefits, this change will enable us to continue strengthening our direct sales focus and achieving our mandate as an economic generator for Ottawa and Ontario. We are very fortunate to have Paul on our team in this expanded role.”
