Tim Reardon, general manager of the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Toronto International Airport is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Shterenberg as executive chef at the hotel. In this position, Shterenberg will lead the culinary team at the hotel to create delightful menus and memorable guest experiences.
Chef Shterenberg brings an impressive resume to his new role at the Sheraton Gateway Toronto. His journey with Starwood Hotels began as an apprentice at The Westin Prince Hotel. After a brief departure to Europe, where he received culinary training in Switzerland and Russia he returned to Starwood at The Westin Harbour Castle. While there he held several positions including Commis, Chef de Partie and Senior Sous Chef. Most recently he held the position of Executive Sous Chef at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre Hotel. He attended the Culinary Apprentice Advanced program at George Brown College and received his Red Seal Certification in 2003.
