The hotel will undergo an extensive multi-million dollar renovation to become the city’s first four-star upscale property including Delta’s new ModeRoom™ guestrooms which are modern, adaptable and laden with technology features. The renovations will also include a full redevelopment of the lobby and public areas, and a new restaurant and lounge. The hotel will boast 126 guestrooms, an indoor rooftop pool, and over 5,000 square feet of newly revamped conference and meeting space, including the top floor Harbour Shadows room which will provide a picturesque setting for weddings and events with panoramic views of the lake.

“The location of this hotel is what sets it apart from the competition – ideally located on the waterfront and in the heart of the city, the Delta Kingston Waterfront Hotel supports our strategy of selecting premier locations in key markets,” said Ken Greene, President & CEO, Delta Hotels and Resorts. “The property has a strong track record of performing well in the full service category, and we anticipate that this will grow even stronger following our planned renovations.”

The hotel is currently flagged under the Radisson brand, and is owned and managed by Diamond Hotels Inc. It will be licensed under the Delta brand once the extensive renovations are completed.

“We are excited for our property to join the Delta chain as the first four-star upscale hotel in Kingston,” said Michael Springer, President, Diamond Hotels Inc. “Delta is well known for its high level of service excellence, and our fully transformed hotel will offer a four-star experience like no other for travelers in Kingston.”

With its prime waterfront and downtown location, the Delta Kingston Waterfront Hotel will offer guests easy access to the area’s best attractions including the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes, Fort Henry, the Pump House Steam Museum, Queen’s University, Canadian Forces Base Kingston, Royal Military College and other major institutions. It is also within close proximity to shopping, as well as an array of outdoor activities including camping, fishing, hiking and kayaking.

The Delta Kingston Waterfront Hotel will be the 13th property for Delta in Ontario. This continues the chain’s strong pattern of growth across the country with six new properties announced since 2010. Delta Hotels and Resorts currently has 43 properties across Canada.
