MPI Foundation receives contribution from ACTIVE Network to further meeting and event industry research

Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Foundation announced today the development of a new investment partnership with ACTIVE Network, Inc., the leader in cloud-based Activity and Participant Management™ (APM) solutions. The company’s contribution will benefit the MPI Foundation Strategic Meetings Management Initiative. As a thought leadership investor, ACTIVE Network will help advance research that accelerates the development of breakthrough approaches to enterprise-wide meeting and event management.

“Managing expenses and risk are important, but no expenditure – no matter how modest – is worthwhile unless the meeting’s goals are set, met and measured,” said, Kevin Iwamoto, GLP & GTP, vice president, Industry Strategy, ACTIVE Network, Inc. “We are delighted to partner with the MPI Foundation to help identify the tools, resources and best practices professionals need to ensure every meeting is the result of strategic thinking, thoughtful design and professional execution.”

MPI Foundation thought leadership initiatives promote the growth of the meeting and event industry by delivering ground-breaking research, case studies, white papers, education and more. The Strategic Meetings Management Initiative was created by the foundation to find solutions which address and enhance current strategic meetings management program structures.

“The MPI Foundation is strongly committed to advancing the growth of the global meeting and event community. The support from ACTIVE Network will help provide meeting professionals with research-driven tools and knowledge needed to design effective meetings that generate measureable results,” explains Vincent LaRuffa, chairman of MPI Foundation.
