Site Global and the Site International Foundation have announced that Managing Director Allison Summers is leaving Site to become Executive Director of Zonta International. The Site Executive Team and its management partner, SmithBucklin Corporation, have implemented both a comprehensive transition strategy as well as the selection process for a new Executive Director for both Site and the Site International Foundation. Paul Dykstra, Vice President Client Services, SmithBucklin Corporation, will serve as Interim Executive Director, supported by Christie Pruyn, Site Director of Operations, and the rest of the Site headquarters staff.
“We wish Allison all the very best going forward; she has been a great asset to Site and has left us a great legacy to advance,” said Site President David Sand. “I am very confident that we will find a great replacement for her as several high-quality candidates have already entered the talent race for this prestigious association management role.”
Allison has served Site and the Site International Foundation since 2006 and has been a strong leader and advocate for the incentive travel and motivational events industry worldwide. During this period she collaborated on the incorporation and startup of the Site International Foundation; supported strategic planning and governance changes; was integral to the rebranding of Site; implemented not one but two evolutions of Site’s website; nurtured a social media presence from scratch and pushed education forward including Site’s Global Education Week and the “Body of Knowledge” initiative.
“It has been an absolute privilege to serve the Site community these past seven years,” said Allison. “I believe in the mission of Site and the Site International Foundation and the power that Site has to connect professionals globally so that individuals can improve business results and create the ultimate in motivational experiences. I wish the leaders of Site the best as they continue to advance advocacy, deliver relevant research, elevate standards through certifications and champion a new global education strategy. Site is a special place and its members are very special people within the MICE industry.”
Located in Oak Brook, Illinois, USA, Zonta International is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy. Allison’s last day with Site will be 21 June.
Site and the Site International Foundation, Site members, partners and industry professionals around the globe thank Allison for her outstanding efforts on Site’s behalf and wish her great success in her new position and endeavour.
