New regional carrier launches service to the Skeena Valley
WestJet Encore’s new twice-daily, non-stop service between Vancouver and Terrace, B.C. begins today with a kick-off at the Vancouver International Airport and ceremony in Terrace-Kitimat’ s Northwest Regional Airport.
WestJet Encore also comes bearing gifts in the form of a 20 per cent off, two-day celebration promo code. Book by November 26, 2013, for travel until December 15, 2013 on westjet.com. Travel agents can book for guests through the company’s travel agent site.
WestJet Encore’s newest service, using Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft, is anticipated to benefit the entire northwest region of the province. The Skeena Valley is undergoing a major economic transformation with billions of dollars in investment in forestry, mining, smelting, hydroelectricity, liquefied natural gas and infrastructure projects. The Terrace-Kitimat corridor represents an exciting expansion opportunity for WestJet’s recently launched regional carrier, and for the many projects heading to the area.
