PCMA Education Foundation hires Susan Mennenga as Executive Director

Susan Mennenga, PCMA Education Foundation Executive DirectorThe PCMA Education Foundation has announced the hiring of Susan Mennenga as its new Executive Director.

Susan’s immediate focus will be to ingratiate herself with the new strategic plan, introduce herself to the Board of Trustees and familiarize herself with the activities relating to upcoming foundation events.

2014 is an ambitious year for the Foundation as they build on their 2013 success. Including the supporting of new initiatives, like 20 in their twenties, funding the third Industry Business Forum, and growing the Education Foundation’s fundraising efforts.

“Susan brings a wealth of knowledge to the Education Foundation, she has a proven track record as both a leader and a fundraising executive. I have no doubt she will advance the initiatives of the PCMA Education Foundation and cultivate new successes,” said PCMA President & CEO, Deborah Sexton.

Susan was most recently the Vice President of the Presence Mercy Medical Center Foundation and brings more than 25 years of experience to PCMA. She joined Legacy Provena Mercy Medical Center in 2007. Prior to this position she served as Vice President of Development and Executive Director of Saint Anthony Hospital Foundation. In 2005, she received the Ascension Health Sister Mary Walter Boyle Award for Innovation in Philanthropy for the renovation of a pediatric unit. Prior to that role, Susan held the position of Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Illinois Chicago, School of Public Health.

Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in marketing and healthcare promotion from DePaul University in Chicago and a Master of Public Administration degree with an emphasis in nonprofit management from the University of Illinois Chicago. She holds a CFRE credential and is a certified Master Trainer for the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
