Marion Harper-Treskin, general manager of The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Matheson as Director of Sales and Marketing. He brings more than 20 years of hospitality and sales experience to the position at the hotel.

In this role, Matheson will be responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts for the hotel while driving revenue for the hotel located on picturesque Coal Harbour. Most recently he held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel where he consistently led his team to growth in top and bottom line revenue. Previously he held the role of Senior Regional Sales Manager with Metropolitan Hotels leading the Western sales team. He also held the role of Director of Strategic Partnerships with International Conference Services and Senior Sales Manager at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver.

Matheson is a proud graduate of the University of Northern British Columbia, he serves on the Board of Governors as a Provincial Order-In-Council appointment and is the first alumnus to serve as Vice-Chair of the Board. He serves on the Marketing-Communication Committee for the BC Chapter of the Canadian Society of Association Executives. His community involvement extends as a guest speaker at BCIT, Arts Institute as well as the student chapters of MPI and PCMA.
