Site Canada announces ‘ICE Awards’ program to recognize incentive program excellence for Canadian members

Site Canada Ice Awards logoJennifer Glynn, President of Site Canada, is proud to announce an exciting recognition program for members of Site Canada.

Since 1980, the Site Crystal Awards program has served as the global benchmark for excellence in travel incentive programs, and is regarded as the highest honour in the motivational events and incentive travel industry. From today, the Site Canada ICE Awards will complement the spirit of the Crystal Awards by providing a local Canadian focus, and are designed to give members the opportunity to receive industry acclaim for the world-class travel incentive programs which they regularly design and deliver. Special attention will be paid to programs that excel in the design of unique, memorable experiences that deliver measurable benefits for their clients through the use of unique group and individual incentive travel experiences.

Site Canada ICE Awards will be presented annually in two categories: ‘Program Excellence’ and ‘Destination Excellence’. ‘Program Excellence’ will recognize an incentive program, designed and managed by a Site Canada member, and applies to both group and individual travel incentive programs. ‘Destination Excellence’ will recognize a creative and impactful initiative developed by a Site Canada member, aimed at promoting the growth of the incentive travel market as a whole. Special consideration will be given to promoting collaboration with the destination, and showcasing cultural and other unique elements.

The qualifying period for eligible incentive programs is January 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014. Award application details will be posted by end of May, and submissions will be accepted until September 30, 2014.

The inaugural ICE Award winners will be announced at Site Canada’s flagship Education Day event on October 28th, 2014. Winners will be awarded the exciting ICE Awards trophy, and will be given the privilege to use the contest logo on their own business cards and company website. Recognition will also be included on the Site Canada website www.sitecanada.org  and in SiteLines, the Site Canada newsletter.

When asked about the new program, Jennifer Glynn said: “I encourage Site Canada members to be recognized for the outstanding incentive programs they design for their clients every day. Members and other practitioners of the incentives industry will celebrate their achievement, and the ICE Awards will open the way for the growth of the industry and individual company business success. These awards will give our industry a platform to communicate the value of incentives.”

Site Canada continues to lead the way in creating meaningful and impactful programs to benefit its members. In 2013, Site Canada announced its award-winning ‘Gain InSite’ program to provide opportunities for members to connect with each other, and encourage them to source, propose and buy services from other Site members’ organizations first.
