The Professional Convention Management Association [PCMA] has announced the hiring of Arlis Whalum, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer.
Whalum brings with her an impressive résumé of 17 years of progressively growing financial and operational experience with an $18 million non-profit association, as well as Big 4 CPA and Fortune 500 experience. She will be a key figure in the strategic planning activities of the organization and responsible for translating these big picture initiatives into workable systems for day-to-day operations.

Whalum was most recently Director of Finance at the American Planning Association, a national membership association for community planners with more than 40,000 members, 47 affiliated chapters and 20 special interest group divisions, in addition to book publishing and distribution operations, federal and non-federal grants and multiple subscription services.
Whalum holds a Masters of Business Administration degree, with a concentration on not-for-profit management and is a Certified Public Accountant.
