WestJet recently launched twice-daily, non-stop service between Toronto and Fredericton, New Brunswick. Flights will be operated by WestJet Encore using its fleet of 78-seat, Canadian-made Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft.
“Fredericton is an important destination that represents our commitment to bring increased competition and lower fares to Atlantic Canada,” said Ferio Pugliese, WestJet Executive Vice-President, and President, WestJet Encore. “We know that traffic at new WestJet Encore destinations can increase by as much as 40 to 55 per cent after we launch service, and we look forward to making it possible for more New Brunswickers to travel more often. Whether flying to Toronto on business or continuing across Canada or beyond, we hope our Fredericton guests will take advantage of WestJet’s great fares and remarkable guest experience.”
“This twice-daily service connects our travellers with WestJet’s entire network via Toronto,” said Johanne Gallant, Fredericton International Airport CEO. “That means more choice for travellers, increased capacity to handle the passenger traffic that continues to break records here at the Fredericton airport and improved access to markets for our business community. We’re thrilled to launch this new flight and this new partnership.”
