Arjun Channa has been appointed as the new General Manager of The Westin Calgary Hotel. In joining the team at the Westin, he brings a wealth of international hospitality expertise to the role with more than 18 years of hospitality experience with Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Most recently he held the position of Hotel Manager at Sheraton Centre Toronto, Starwood’s flagship hotel in the Canadian market.

Channa’s career began as the’Maitre D’hôtel’ of all Restaurants at the Sheraton Abu Dhabi before transitioning to the Sheraton Entertainment Centre in Amman, Jordan as the Entertainment Centre Manager. From there, he moved into the role of Food and Beverage Director at the Great Wall Sheraton Hotel Beijing before joining the team at the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort and Towers Hotel in Dubai as the Executive Assistant Manager.
Channa held the position of Brand Development Manager for the Sarova Hotels, in Nairobi, Kenya before becoming Hotel Manager at the Sheraton Sanya Resort, Hainan Island, China. He was General Manager for Le Méridien Port Vila Resort and Casino, Vanuatu and Sheraton Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa, India. He joined the Starwood Hotels corporate team in New Delhi in 2012 leading Brand Compliance and Acquisition and Development throughout India.
