Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has published its Meetings Outlook, 2015 Fall Edition. The latest installment of the quarterly special report indicates the increasingly healthy industry landscape is creating a stronger seller’s market as well as an explosion of new opportunities. With that, however, arise new challenges in managing the expectations of planners, suppliers and clients.
Key findings include the following:
- Business is anticipated to remain stable with healthy growth at a rate of 3.8 per cent.
- Growth in attendance at both live and virtual meetings and events is expected to remain steady at 2.7 per cent.
- 42 per cent of respondents cited the seller’s market and related challenges as key trends of concern.
