The largest and longest running trade show and conference for meeting and event professionals has launched a brand-new virtual learning program.
Called Speaker Series, the webinars will feature exclusive interviews with top industry leaders and experts about topics that matter most to attendees.
“Our live event is known for its gold star education. To be able to deliver the same level of content through webinars will allow us to inspire our community of meeting professionals in a new way,” says Melissa Arnott, director of events for Canadian Meetings and Events Expo.
The first episode in the Speaker Series will examine the current landscape of contract negotiations. It will feature an in-depth conversation with Heather Reid, founder and CEO of Planner Protect. She will discuss termination and force majeure clauses, and how current negotiations due to COVID-19 have been shaped by them; share observations and lessons learned from her clients to date; and provide insight on possible future considerations for events and event contracts during the pandemic.
The webinar will take place May 27, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. EDT. Registration is free.
