New Partnership Removes Language Barriers from Borderless Digital Events

A partnership between and Interprefy will allow organizers that are planning events, webinars, conferences and meetings on GEVME Live digital events platform to host those gatherings in multiple languages in real-time.

“Digital events surpass geographical boundaries, allowing people to attend regardless of where they are in the world,” says CEO, Veemal Gungadin. “With this exciting partnership with Interprefy, participation in digital events is also no longer fettered by language, enabling event owners and organizers to easily host truly borderless events.”

Interprefy’s cloud-based solution allows interpreters to deliver their services remotely. Online conferencing participants on GEVME Live can listen to presentations in the language of their choice, translated simultaneously while the presentation is ongoing — all they need is a stable Internet connection and a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.

Since interpreters can work from anywhere in the world, without having to worry about travel schedules or accommodation, Interprefy can source multi-language, conference-level interpreters for any language combination or specific expertise, no matter where they might be located. This helps to improve the overall quality of interpreting at events, now that borders are no longer a barrier.

“The events industry is changing rapidly and the pandemic has accelerated this digital transition,” says Interprefy director of global sales, Richard Roocroft. “As events move online, Interpefy has experienced unprecedented demand for better engagement, diversity and personalization. The ability to deliver events in multiple languages is an important element to achieving these goals.”
