Perfecting Cuisine at Château Le Jardin

Ask any event guest what they remember most, and chances are they’ll mention the food. This is a truth that the Château Le Jardin takes to heart with every group it serves.

“Food and beverage isn’t the only factor for success, but it’s one of those things that can bring down a meeting or event if it’s done right,” says Christopher Parentela, President of the Vaughan-based venue.

For Parentela and his team, “doing it right” means ensuring the Château Le Jardin’s kitchen is equipped with the right people. That includes Executive Chef Luigi Raniella and a crew of culinary specialists who bring their seasoned experience to each of the 5,000 dishes they serve every week.

“We’re lucky to have individuals like Luigi running the show in our kitchen,” notes Parentela. “He and his team are extremely talented, and they make sure Le Jardin maintains its prowess by constantly pushing culinary boundaries.”

“His tasteful blend of elegance and simplicity is noticeable in each dish served,” he adds.

And there are plenty of dishes to choose from. Since opening 35 years ago, Château Le Jardin’s menu has grown to include a rich selection of local, international, vegetarian, Kosher, and allergy-sensitive selections. From savory steak and chicken creations to Canadian specialties, Indian menus to Sri Lankan treats, and Chinese buffets to a delicious range of appetizers and desserts, the venue ensures no taste is left behind.

“We’ve spent decades fine-tuning our menu to make sure every guest will find something they’ll love,” notes Parentela. “Again, we know how important those breakfast, lunch, and dinner breaks are during an event, which is why we push to create meals that will exceed our guests’ expectations.”

Serving the community

Château Le Jardin’s love of food extends beyond its venue walls. In response to COVID-19, the team set up a food delivery and take-out service for its community, which includes many of the five-star selections on offer to its guests.

“Like many venues in the meetings and events space, we had to make a choice: shut down completely or adapt and stay active,” recalls Parentela. “Thanks to our team and on-site facilities, we were able to make that transformation and bring our food to even more people in our community.”

In the early days of the pandemic, Château Le Jardin prepared and delivered over 4,000 meals to time-starved healthcare professionals. It also expanded its service to provide even more options for delivery and take-out customers.

Thumbs up

It’s one thing to hear Parentala and his team rave about Château Le Jardin’s affinity for food. It’s another to hear it first-hand from recent guests. And as testimonials on the venue’s page can attest, there is no shortage of satisfied customers.

“The staff was amazing, the food was great, and – most importantly – it was very tasty,” writes one guests, adding, “The antipasto bar was phenomenal!”

As another guests noted: “Le Jardin was able to quickly and professionally accommodate a last-minute luncheon for 45 people. Most importantly, the food was fantastic and well received by the attendees. I got numerous compliments on the food and venue.”

Serving crowds can be tricky. Thankfully, decades of serving groups from across the world has give Chateau Le Jardin an edge when it comes to working with meeting and event planners to satisfy every appetite.

After all, adds Parentela, “The meal is the centrepiece of any event, and regardless of the menu or ethnicity, it must be perfect to ensure the rest of the event falls perfectly into place.”
