Toronto welcomed a new hotel this month with the opening of Radisson Blu.
Located along the waterfront in the city’s core, this is a first for the upscale brand.
“As the world gears up to travel again, we are accelerating the growth of Radisson Blu with a series of openings starting with Toronto, which also marks the brand’s entrance into Canada,” says Aly El-Bassuni, COO, Americas, Radisson Hotel Group. “This hotel expertly highlights the vibrant and energetic local cultures of the city while simultaneously delivering a restful stay and memorable guest experience.”
Originally the Radisson Admiral Toronto-Harbourfront, the property underwent an extensive renovation to become the Radisson Blu. The 157-room hotel features bright suites with hardwood floors and stunning views of both the cityscape and lake. Guests can enjoy local fare at Watermark restaurant, which will be fully open in 2021. The updated lobby offers both luxury and comfort, including a 24-hour grab-and-go market with food, coffee, beer and wine. Those looking to relax and unwind can take a dip in the picturesque rooftop pool. The hotel also boasts 12,000 square feet of meeting space for business gatherings or special events.
“Joining this phenomenal portfolio of hotels allows us to fully express our identity as a premier local destination for anyone seeking an authentic Toronto experience,” says the hotel’s general manager, Nathalie Lalonde.
With the health, safety and security of guests and team members as its utmost priority, Radisson Blu has implemented in-depth cleanliness and disinfection protocols. These were developed in partnership with SGS, a leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. The program is designed to ensure guest safety and peace of mind from check-in to check-out. The hotel has also been certified by Safehotels, which includes a 10-step process involving more than 200 standards, including fire safety, security training and crisis management.
The opening of Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown kicks off a wave of growth for the brand. Before the end of 2020, Radisson Hotel Group will open three more properties in the U.S.
