Meetings Mean Business Canada (MMBC) will host a free virtual event on April 8, in support of Global Meetings Industry Day.
Geared to government decision-makers, media and industry professionals, the theme of the 90-minute webinar is ‘We’re Ready.’ It will emphasize the industry’s readiness to reopen the travel, meetings and business events economy when restrictions are lifted.
The event will feature industry leaders from across the country, including Destination Canada, the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, Convention Centres of Canada, the Hotel Association of Canada, destination marketing organizations and more. Participants will address the current status of business travel, the return of international events, state-of-the-art readiness plans and safety protocols, and how the industry will help rebuild Canada’s economy.
MMBC vice-chair Laura Pallotta will also host a panel discussion on how provincial industry groups are working to reopen meetings and business events in their respective regions.
Global Meetings Industry Day is held each April to recognize the industry and celebrate the work of the many professionals involved in the production of meetings and events.
MMBC works with key stakeholders to communicate the industry’s social and economic impact to decision-makers at all levels of government in Canada.
