Ottawa’s Shaw Centre has partnered with global live events company GES for show services.
“GES’s global experience will bring a fresh new perspective while continuing to provide the high-level of customer service our clients have come to expect,” says Josh Verch, Shaw Centre’s director of marketing and partnerships.
With this new partnership, GES becomes the exclusive provider for material handling and the preferred provider of event rentals, custom exhibits, labour, customs and transportation.
The contract is for five years.
“We are looking forward to expanding our network of facility relationships across Canada, and are excited to develop new relationships in the Ottawa region,” says Jeff Quade, GES’s executive vice-president of exhibitions.
Formerly the Ottawa Convention Centre, the Shaw Centre offers 365,973 square feet of enclosed space, including an exhibit hall floor, breakout/meeting space, a ballroom and ample parking for conventions, conferences, meetings and events. Last year, it was named the world’s best convention centre by the International Association of Convention Centres.
