Nestled in the renowned Whistler resort in British Columbia, the Wedge Mountain Lodge & Spa is poised to open its doors this upcoming fall.
With its spacious layout, capable of accommodating gatherings of up to 20 guests and 50 for receptions, the retreat’s extensive list of services and amenities make for an unforgettable group retreat that encourages pause and connection. It is touted as Whistler’s only purpose-built, fully serviced private lodge.
The architecturally designed 12,000-square-foot lodge can accommodate a diverse range of groups. From corporate retreats and weddings to intergenerational family getaways and intimate gatherings, the lodge was designed to be like none other.
“We are thrilled to witness the realization of our long-held vision for the lodge,” says Keltie Holdsworth, part of the family who envisioned, built and will operate the new lodge. “It has been a dream of our family for many years. Our enthusiasm stems from a passion for showcasing the wonders of Whistler. Wedge Mountain will boast 10 bedrooms, each offering a haven of comfort. Complementing the accommodations will be a private spa facility that invites guests to relax and unwind with a sauna, steam room, gym, massage rooms, inviting hot tubs, refreshing pools and more. Adding to the lodge’s allure will be additional recreational and entertainment spaces including a conference room, a state-of-the-art movie theatre, an impeccably curated wine cellar, a stylish poker and billiards room, a bar, and a dedicated children’s area.
From the beginning, the Holdsworth family wanted to create a seamless and worry-free escape from the ordinary for its guests. Wedge Mountain’s full-service experience from arrival to departure includes a live-in housekeeper, concierge and additional support staff on hand and available whenever needed. Bookings at the lodge will come with private transportation, bespoke dedicated service, Champagne sabering reception on arrival, and a private chef to coordinate breakfast, après snacks and dinners personalized for each individual group so that they can make the most of their stay.
Wedge Mountain Lodge & Spa is slated to open on November 17, 2023.
