Casa Madera Names Executive Chef

Daniele Pisanu is the new executive chef at Casa Madera in Toronto. Pisanu has been the sous chef there since its opening in April 2022.

Having drawn inspiration from his travels across the globe, Pisanu has become an expert in seamlessly fusing worldly cuisines while ensuring his love for cooking remains at the core of his creations. His experiences have translated into creating meticulously designed dishes that have been implemented into Casa Madera’s menu, offering guests a taste of inventive and organic flavors. As part of his executive debut, Pisanu recently launched Casa Madera’s brunch, an immersive dining experience that has been expertly crafted by blending sound, energy and taste.

Driven by a deep fascination for exploring diverse cultures, Pisanu seeks direct culinary inspiration from the sources themselves by immersing in traditions and experiences. From his formal training in Italy to his time spent cooking in fine-dining kitchens, including Bocca di Bacco in Berlin, Pilu at Freshwater in Sydney and Hotel le Anfore in Villasimius, Italy, Pisanu brings a unique international perspective to the Noble 33 portfolio.

Pisanu takes charge of managing the restaurant’s operations and prioritizing the delivery of exceptional service to all patrons, a core pillar of Noble 33’s ethos. Through a menu that places flavour at its forefront, Pisanu curates a delightful menu consisting of the most high-quality and elevated ingredients while thoughtfully accommodating a variety of dietary restrictions.

At Casa Madera, dining is an art form that invokes all of the senses as certain dishes are prepared tableside, adding a visual and theatrical element. Adding to the gastronomic adventure is an impressive cocktail program consisting of seasonal and fresh ingredients, perfect for any dish pairing.
