Lepage Joins Quebec City Convention Centre

The Government of Québec announced the appointment of Caroline Lepage as president and CEO of the Québec City Convention Centre. She succeeds Pierre-Michel Bouchard, who had held the position since 2007. Lepage was previously executive director of the Y.W.C.A. Québec Foundation.

With a master’s degree in international relations and a bachelor’s degree in commerce, she worked in the field of economic and cultural development for more than 12 years before joining the private sector, when she acquired AGORA in 2008, a firm specializing in the organization of international conferences (now AGORA OPUS3). Committed to her community, she is president of the board of directors of Destination Québec cité and sits on the board of the Grands Feux Loto-Québec.

“While welcoming the arrival of Ms. Lepage, the board of directors of the Québec City Convention Centre expresses its deep gratitude to Mr. Bouchard for the dedication and excellence he has demonstrated throughout his 17 years of service. Under his enlightened leadership, the Québec City Convention Centre and the Québec region have experienced significant growth, particularly in the business tourism sector, thus contributing to their dynamism and influence. The board extends its sincere and best wishes for success in his new projects,” said Alain Aubut, president of the board of directors of the Québec City Convention Centre.

In 2023, the Québec City Convention Centre welcomed more than 220,000 visitors, nearly 20,000 more than the previous year, for a total of 193 events. Achieving a new milestone, the Centre recorded event revenues of $11 million, contributing an estimated $190 million in economic spin-offs for the Québec City region.
