Destination St. John’s Names New CEO


Destination St. John’s (DSJ) has named Paul Bugge as its new chief executive officer and he will assume the role on June 17th. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades in the tourism industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, having significantly contributed to the growth and success of DSJ in his current position and with other leading organizations in the tourism sector.

Bugge’s deep-rooted connection with Destination St. John’s began in 2005 as a DSJ partner, and he has since played a pivotal role in various capacities within the organization, including acting as CEO during critical periods. His extensive background spans the corporate, private, and non-profit sectors, where he has demonstrated exceptional skills in strategic leadership, fiscal management, and stakeholder engagement.

“Paul’s comprehensive understanding of the tourism industry, combined with his longstanding commitment to our organization, makes him uniquely positioned to lead Destination St. John’s.
