Ken Jattan joins GSS Security

Ken Jattan has joined GSS Security as consultant, special events and crisis management. His extensive knowledge of venues as event spaces is an invaluable addition to the security planning process.

With more than 30 years in the exposition and events industry, Jattan’s experience spans across the fields of event management, customs and logistics, and registration and hospitality across Canada and the US.

Jattan is an active member of the Canadian Association of Exposition Management  and has volunteered his time on various committees throughout his service. He holds a CEM designation through the IAEE program, which includes field related courses such as risk and crisis management, event operations, and general security knowledge. He is also certified by the Ministry of Labour – Worker and Safety Awareness, Smart Serve and First Aid Certified programs.

During his time as an event manager, Jattan was a lead architect in partnership with Toronto’s first responders and city hall, and a vital part in the development and execution of the event preparedness plan in grand scale events, such as concerts.

His involvement in all facets – from production to management, and all event planning in between, has rendered him an excellent communicator, a compassionate leader, and a manager with a solid understanding of event client needs. With his combined history across multiple fields, Jattan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with clients, to help lead them through a safe event.
