Le Centre Sheraton Montreal has unveiled a newly renovated addition for the meeting and events community. This year, the premier venue cut the ribbon on its renovated Sheraton Club Lounge, a stylish and amenity-rich gathering space designed exclusively for visiting groups.
“We wanted to create a place where people can connect with confidence,” says Christopher Spear, Director of Sales and Marketing with Le Centre Sheraton Montreal. The idea is to provide an open, collaborative, and versatile space that can only be accessed by those who book it.”
The new room accommodates physical (aka “in-person”) and hybrid events. It features ample meeting amenities (e.g., working spaces, community spaces, presentation areas, etc.), audio/visual equipment, and a private section that can be used to brainstorm, hold concurrent meetings, or provide a break from the action.
The new Sheraton Club Lounge was also made to leave an impression. Situated on Le Centre Sheraton Montreal’s 37th floor, it offers a bird’s-eye view of Montreal and a chic-yet-cozy ambiance brought together by upscale textures, natural wood accents, polished metal finishes, and other modern touches.
Looks aside, adds Spear, the lounge is also designed with safety in mind: “Since the arrival of COVID-19, Marriott Hotels has introduced its Commitment to Clean program with strict procedures which every hotel is following. That includes touchless interactions, access to handwashing and disinfecting stations throughout the hotel, a rigorous cleaning regimen, and a host of further health and safety options.”
The hotel’s commitment to safety extends to its food and beverage program. In its efforts to further mitigate the risks of COVID-19, Le Centre Sheraton Montreal has tweaked its F&B strategy to now offer hot and cold “grab-and-go” meals prepared fresh by its Executive Chef.
“Food and beverage is still a very important part of events at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal, and while we’ve temporarily changed how we serve that our guests, the quality remains to our highest standards,” notes Spear.
Ready to host
The opening of the Sheraton Club Lounge marks a fresh chapter in Le Centre Sheraton Montreal’s history. It also arrives at a decidedly challenging moment in the meeting and events industry. And while it may be some time still before conditions return to “normal”, Le Centre Sheraton Montreal is confident that this new space, combined with the hotel’s additional renovations, will provide planners with a safe and enticing option for their events.
“Being a gathering place for the world has always been part of Sheraton’s DNA, and we’re always adapting to the ever-changing meetings and events landscape,” says Spear. “At the same time, Sheraton is a brand with a respected legacy, so we also wanted this lounge to reflect that.”
“It was a great space before the renovations,” he continues. “Now, we’ve gone even further.”
